I would love to have a room with bookcases covering one wall. I also love the colour books add to the room and I personally not only have a number of bookcases around my house but have piles of books too as decoration.
I am hoping though that the weather fines up as I have a fence to paint today. We got a new back fence put in early in the week and as the posts are untreated needs to be painted quick smart (photos soon).
Also just as an aside, I am now on Pinterest (see icon in sidebar) and I have 'pinned' a couple of bookcase photos there too. I am loving it as a great way to collect images for inspiration.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
Oh i love the library look. I can imagine in the home we're going to build, a huge stack of shelves to the ceiling (fine for me as i'm not a reader) with a big chevron rug, eye candy galore. Love Posie
ReplyDeleteI would love a bookcase like that too. Not going to happen in this little house....thanks for sharing some beautiful pics. Kym X
ReplyDeleteIn my dream house I would have a wall of books and a ladder to climb :) Hope the rain settled for some outdoor painting
ReplyDeleteHi Georgy Swooning in Hobart! I must look at your pins. You can find me at http://pinterest.com/jane1970/. J x
ReplyDeleteAfter moving twice in three years we had massive de-clutters and donated tons of books. Now I feel like we were a tad overzealous!

ReplyDeleteI love the green curtain in front of the bookshelf, so if one was inclined, they would never have to share their treasures with an unwelcome and critical (to the amount of books one has!) person!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I am currently living in a Catholic Presbytery and have a room full of bookshelves like this. Unfortunately they are not deep enough for much!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, arranging the book spines according to colour. Will be trying that out some time!
ReplyDeleteI want to see the fence your painting.
