A blue hallway?
All our rooms in our house with the exception of the kids bedroom are currently painted an off white, which makes a great canvas or backdrop for our pictures, furniture, wooden floorboards and ornaments.
I have started to think though it would be great to inject a little bit of colour onto the walls and what better place then the hallway, the main entrance into our house - maybe a blue but what blue? There are so many options. Maybe I could try different ones throughout the house but not sure how Hubby will feel about that.
Currently we have a very decorative chipboard over where our bathroom door used to be, obviously not staying but that doorway is going to be filled in so that wall re-done. Perfect opportunity to paint. With this in mind we got a test pot of I'm Blue by British Paints which looks a little different to the photos below, but you get the idea. And yes both these pictures are using the same colour just a trick of the light, that is what I like about this kind of colour.

ReplyDeleteIm a fan of blue as well, Im liking duck egg blue at the moment!! I love the colour your sampling tho!!
ReplyDeleteMy foyer is a cross between cobalt and french blue! I say yes to blue and it's lovely and true :)
ReplyDeleteI contemplate living with colour, but I must say I'm more of a white walls girl, then colours added with cushions, art etc. I wish I could try on different colours in my rooms for a week at a time to decide - without having to paint! Glad you liked the xmas bag idea. x
ReplyDeleteLove the first picture. It's a beautiful, soothing color. I love color and my own home is filled with it.
ReplyDeleteGeorgy love blue and with the white it looks so fresh and inviting. I have a blue master bedroom that is so soothing that when I enter I swear my blood pressure goes down. Thank you so much for coming by and visiting my post on color today. Love the way you Aussie gals use color, Have a great week, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteWe have a blue feature wall at our holiday house, which is mostly browns, blacks and woods and amber glassware, and I tell you what, the blue just makes it. My husband was hesitant, but he went with it after some persuasion. It brings such calmness and serenity. Here is the link for a look. http://www.ljhooker.com.au/U0FAT
